After I created several options for a spring wardrobe with flared jeans, I suddenly came up with another very nice option – flared jeans with a long cardigan and a tucked-in shirt in the style of the ’70s.
Flared jeans easily descend from the catwalks of Paris, Milan, New York and London and casually walk on city streets in the spring – sometimes causing a delighted reaction, and sometimes causing a puzzling reaction. The influence of the ’70s in this trend is so strong that, when sprucing up your wardrobe with these jeans, it’s very easy to slip into “naphthalene vintage”, instead of tapping into fresh, modern trends.

I don’t really know what association you may have with the city of Beirut in Lebanon, but in my head I have a pretty rough one. The image of ruins and endless war-ravaged streets are firmly entrenched in my head… And there is nothing about fashion or style… So you can imagine my first impressions of this designer’s incredible works of Art – works which are so difficult to define :)
