l was definitely pleased with my first Glossybox of the year. Do you know why I love these beauty subscriptions? Simply because it’s a great opportunity for me to get acquainted with new brands and products which I had no idea about – and without spending a fortune.

For example, when the January box arrived, I was not familiar with four of the five brands represented. And I was even more pleased by the fact that almost all of these cosmetic products that I received – facial toner, serum, thermal lotion for washing, eyeliner, – I’m definitely going to use on a daily basis.

Мой первый Glossybox в этом году однозначно меня порадовал. Вот за что я люблю все эти бьюти-подписки, так это за возможность познакомится с новым марками и продуктами, о которых я понятия не имела, не тратя при этом целое состояние.

Например, в этой январской коробочке, четыре из пяти представленных марок были мне до этого не известны. И тем более приятно, что почти все эти косметические средства, которые я получила – тоник для лица, серум, термальный лосьон для умывания, карандаш для глаз, – однозначно найдут у меня применение.

Glossybox January 2015: Vichy cleanser, review by Ann Robie

I’m definitely a huge fan of this brand. Firstly, because in the long product line of Vichy it’s always possible to find great stuff for dry and sensitive skin. And I always hunt for such products. Secondly, I love the smell of any Vichy product. Thirdly, Vichy products have incredibly delicate texture – they just melt on my face. And this cleanser wasn’t an exception!

This cleansing milk gently removes makeup, cleanses pores, and at the same time it moisturizes and nourishes the skin. This cleanser has a jelly-like consistency; it’s almost like a liquid cream. It applies nicely. By the way, this cleanser can be used with or without water, which makes it ideal for travel. The cleanser also contains vitamin B, and it works very gently on the skin. A wonderful product!

Я однозначно поклонница этой марки. Во-первых, потому что в линейке продуктов Vichy всегда можно найти средства для сухой и чувствительной кожи. А я всегда охочусь за такими продуктами. Во-вторых, мне безумно нравится запах кремов Vichy. В третьих, продуктов Vichy невероятно нежная консистенция – крема просто тают на лице.

Это очищающее молочко мягко удаляет макияж, очищает поры, при этом увлажняет кожу и питает ее. У молочка консистенция жидкого крема, наносить его очень приятно. Кстати, это средство можно использовать как с водой, так и само по себе, что делает его незаменимым в поездках. В состав молочка входит витамин В за счет чего молочко очень мягко воздействует на кожу. Чудесное средство!

I did not know anything about this Italian brand’s Skin Care Skin&Co Roma before. But thanks to Glossybox I have the opportunity not only to learn about it, but to try their product – Truffle Therapy Serum.

The consistency of the serum is very delicate and light. It moisturizes the skin very well. The serum contains extracts of hibiscus, rose hips, horsetail, and wheat germ, which contribute to the protection and restoration of the skin. The serum is absorbed very quickly, leaves the skin soft, and moisturizes without leaving a greasy glow.

The downside (kind of) to this product for me is the smell – in the first few seconds after applying the cream  there is a very intense coconut smell. I like the smell, but for some reason I couldn’t take it for very long. Luckily for me, the serum’s intense smell fades in about a minute.

Я не знала о существовании марки итальянской уходовой косметики Skin&Co Roma до этого, а благодаря Glossybox, у меня есть возможность не только о ней узнать, но и попробовать их восстанавливающий серум.

Консистенция серума очень нежная, и он хорошо увлажняет кожу. Серум содержит экстракты гибискуса, шиповника, полевого хвоща и ростков пшеницы, которые способствуют защите и восстановлению кожи. Впитывается серум очень быстро, оставляя кожу мягкой и увлажненной без жирного блеска.
Минусом в этом продукте для меня является запах – первые несколько секунд при нанесении крема он очень интенсивный кокосовый. Мне нравится сам запах, но я почему-то не могу долго его выдерживать. К счастью для меня, в у этого серума запах хоть и интенсивный, но очень не стойкий и выветривается примерно за минуту.

The Teeez Trendy Cosmetics is very cheerful cosmetics brand from Rotterdam, Netherlands. I didn’t know anything about this brand before. First of all, the packaging caught my eye – it is bright and colorful with some African-Amazonian figures-flowers. When I wandered through their website, I had the feeling that I was in a candy store – such juicy, bright and appetizing colors on all their packaging – for lipsticks, blushes and varnishes :) I wanted to buy everything just because of the packaging! :)

I received the eyeshadow brush. It is a nice brush made of natural hair, and it has rounded tips. But it was too rough for my skin. I’m a big MAC fan so I doubt that I’m going to use this brush. But I still want to try some lipstick or blushes from this brand – they look really intriguing! :)

Teeez Trendy Cosmetics очень веселая марка косметики из Роттердама, Нидерланды. Это тоже мое открытие. В первую очередь в глаза мне бросилась упаковка – яркая, с каким-то африканскими рисунками. Когда я бродила по их сайту, у меня было ощущение, что я в кондитерской – такими сочными, яркими и аппетитными были все их упаковочки с помадами, румянами и лаками :) Хотелось купить все! :)

Мне же досталась кисть для теней из натуральных волос c закругленными кончиками. Но вот она, к сожалению, не произвела на меня особого впечатления – мне она показалась слишком жесткой (фаната MAC). Но я по-прежнему хочу попробовать их помаду или румяна – уж очень у них симпатичная упаковка! :)
This Spanish brand is also totally new to me, but it made a very good impression. First and foremost, thanks to a very pleasant smell, this lotion just blew me away – and I was sold immediately! It is composed of aloe vera, chamomile and calendula, but has the smell of a more sophisticated floral. The lotion doesn’t dry the skin. A very interesting product. 

Эта испанская марка тоже абсолютно для меня новая, но уже оставила очень приятное впечатление. И в первую очередь благодаря очень приятному запаху этого лосьона. В его состав входят алое вера, ромашка и календула, но запах более изысканно-цветочный. Лосьон не сушит кожу. Очень интересное и приятное средство. 

Eye Pencil, Lollipops

Okay, here is the question for you – could you imagine being amazed by an eye pencil? It has color, it has resistance. And that’s it. But somehow I was struck by this pencil. Firstly, I had never thought about a pencil that can also take care of my skin. This one can! It contains vitamin E and protects the eye skin from aging. Who would have ever thought of that :) Also, I have a weakness for automatic pencils – I use them mainly because I do not like to mess with sharpening – and this is just such a pencil, automatic. Sold! :) 
Казалось бы, что может быть такого в подводном карандаше? Ну цвет, ну стойкость. Но каким-то образом этот карандаш меня поразил. Во-первых, я прежде никогда не задумывалась над тем, что карандаш может еще и ухаживать за кожей – а этот содержит витамин Е и защищает кожу глаз от старения! Кто бы мог подумать :) Кроме того, у меня слабость к автоматическим карандашам – я пользуюсь преимущественно ими, потому что не люблю возиться с затачиванием – а этот карандаш как раз такой, автоматический. Замечательная вещь! :)t

A wonderful gift from an old friend – the company HelloFresh, which delivers the ingredients to prepare a quick (30 minutes) dinner for 2-4 people. That is how it works: you order a set of products on the website, they deliver them to you, you prepare a wonderful dinner in less than 30 minutes. Products come to you fresh with detailed instructions for their preparation. My sister-in-law ordered a few times and each time she was very pleased; the portions are very, very generous. I think now it is my turn to try ;)

Продукты приходят к вам в сыром виде и с подробнейшей инструкцией по их приготовлению. Моя невестка заказывала несколько раз и каждый раз была очень довольна. Думаю, что теперь настал мой черед попробовать ;)

    I just received this as well & am excited to test everything out. However, I’m not so pleased with the “natural” hiar brush — it’s actually goat hair, that’s why it’s course. I’m vegetarian, so I will no be using it.
