I found this dress in a vintage store and fell in love with it without looking back! It is simply incredible that no one bought it before me. The dress is just amazing. Its stunning velvet pattern on the finest transparent silk, the velvet tabs on the entire length of the cutout, the buttons-knobs, the cream silk lining – the cost of such dresses at the brand name stores would include an amount with three zeros at the end. I got it for $20 … :) An incredible bit of luck, isn’t it? :)
The hardest part of these kind of vintage dresses is to “see” them on yourself. After all, most of us are scared of the smell of mothballs which can make trying a vintage dress a bit awkward. But it is necessary to give them a chance and they will once again shine – with new colors and delightful shades on us.
In order not to overload my outfit with an “old” look, I did not wear the suede heels with a strap, I put on a pair of simple heels, accessorized with a very simple clutch in the same tone of my heels.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot – a final touch to the dress was the ribbon around my neck, which I replaced with a cameo made of a green stone to match my eye color.
The whole look became serious yet romantic at the same time :)
