Today I want to share with you my impressions of the new Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner. At first I was sceptical since I have had several unfortunate attempts to tame this kind of “marker”… But something was always wrong with them – either the line would bleed, or they drew a line leaving some bald spots, or they rolled, or they were way too sheer… However, in fairness, all the previous liners weren’t from Covergirl.
This all changed once I got this liquid eyeliner. It is not even a true liquid – it feels more like an ordinary marker, but without that peculiar alcohol odor or resistance to being washed off!
Все изменилось, как только мне попала в руки эта жидкая подводка. Ее даже нельзя назвать жидкой – по ощущениям это больше всего похоже на обычный фломастер, только без этого своеобразного спиртового запаха и стойкости.
Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner, 300 Intense Black
This eyeliner is very pleasant to hold due to its matte surface – it does not slip out of your hands. And you can draw the line just like in a fairy tale – it’s juicy and smooth (although this quality is probably still dependent on experience;)).
The tip of this liner is quite resilient, with a slightly rough surface (exactly like markers have!). In this tip, by the way, lies the beauty – it is flattened and has a dual purpose – you can draw the thinnest line right at the edge of your eyelashes, and you also can create broad lines for the dramatic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey Hepburn-style.
This eyeliner with dignity withstood the test of 8-hour working days. By the way, at the end of the day, the eyeliner surprised me again – for all its color intensity, I easily washed it off just using my Neutrogena cleanser,
without leaving any raccoon streaks under my eyes (I literally was ready for that!).
To all the other delights of this liner I want to add one more – its price of $8.99. What an excellent value for the money!
Honestly, there is only one drawback I could find – the liner is available in only one color – 300 Intense Black :( I’d like to experiment with different colors too… I hope, Covergirl expands the range of colors in the near future – I’m ready to buy! ;)
Подводку очень приятно держать в руках за счет матовой поверхности – она не выскальзывает из рук. Линия ведется просто как в сказке – сочная, ровная (хотя, это качество, наверное, все-таки зависит от опыта ;)).
Кончик этой подводки достаточно упругий, с легкой шершавой поверхностью (точь в точь как у фломастеров!). В этом кончике, кстати, и кроется вся прелесть – он сплюснутый и двойного назначения – им можно рисовать тончайшие линии прямо у кромки ресниц, а можно провести широкие драматические линии в стиле Одри Хопберн в Завтраке у Тиффани.
Подводка с достоинством выдержала испытание 8 часового рабочего дня. Кстати, в конце этого же дня подводка удивила меня еще раз – при всей интенсвности цвета, подводка смылась обычным гелем для умывания легко, не оставляя разводов под глазами.
Ко всем прочим прелестям этой подводки хочутся добавить еще одну – ее цену $8.99. Отличное сочетание цены и качества!
Ну а недостаток здесь только один – пока эту подводку можно найти только в одном цвете – 300 Intense Black :( А я бы хотела поэкспериментировать с разными цветами… Надеюсь, Covergirl расширят линейку цветов в скором времени – я уже готова покупать ;)
